Really Outstanding Christian Kids

University Presbyterian ChurchThe ROCK program is for kids in Kindergarten through 5th grade and begins each Wednesday during the program year at 4:15pm with a healthy snack before we begin our time together.

At 4:30 pm the children attend ROCK choir where they learn all sorts of exciting music! At various times throughout the year, they get to share their musical gifts with the congregation as part of Sunday worship.

At 5:00 pm we usually play a short game to get our energy out, and then gather in the classroom for a kid-friendly bible story video. After the video we discuss the story and how it might apply to our lives today at school, at home, or with our friends and neighbors. We also work on a craft project that illustrates some of these lessons. Finally we close with a group prayer, sharing our concerns for the world and for those we love.

We invite all families to join with the rest of the ROCK community for DinnerROCK at 6:00pm—lovingly prepared and served each week by church members. DinnerROCK is an inexpensive way to enjoy a family meal out: adult meals cost $5.00, and children are only $2.50 (there are also family and quantity discounts). It’s a great evening for grandparents, too, as every second and fourth Wednesday of the month, we have Prime Time for seniors, with programs and activities from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm and plenty of time to get your dinner afterward.

If you’d like to be part of this joyful group, please call the church office for more information, or send us an email using our contact page! For the latest news about what’s happening, download the current church newsletter by clicking here or sign up for our weekly e-announcements.

All children will need a new medical form each program year (get your form by clicking the link below). Just download and fill out the form and bring it with you to our kick off this Wednesday.
